U.S. LLC from Pakistan: the documents agencies and freelancers need to work with U.S. clients

Running an agency or freelance practice in Pakistan and invoicing U.S. clients through a U.S. LLC? Here is the U.S. paperwork that follows the filing: company records, mailbox, Form 1583, client onboarding, and how to sign it all from Lahore or Karachi.

A founder in Pakistan can form a U.S. LLC to contract with and invoice U.S. clients, but the filing is only the start: banks, payment platforms, mailbox providers and client procurement teams each ask for their own signed documents. Most of it can be signed from Lahore, Karachi or Islamabad through remote online notarization or wet-ink originals, if you know in advance what each recipient accepts.

This guide covers the U.S. side for agencies, studios and independent developers. Taxes, foreign exchange and bringing income home belong to a qualified accountant or attorney.

Why Pakistani agencies and freelancers set up a U.S. LLC

A development shop in Lahore with a growing list of U.S. clients finds that procurement teams prefer to sign with a U.S. company, pay a U.S. bank account and receive invoices with a U.S. address. The LLC is a business tool for that relationship; whether it is the right structure is for your advisers to decide.

The documents that follow the filing

Once the state accepts the filing, founders usually prepare:

  • An operating agreement, signed by the members, which banks and platforms often ask to see.
  • An ownership statement or membership certificate, showing who owns the company and in what proportion.
  • A resolution or written consent authorizing a named person to open accounts and sign client contracts.
  • Form 1583, notarized, if the company uses a virtual mailbox.
  • Identity documents, usually a passport, with names spelled exactly as in the company records.

The U.S. LLC support for foreign founders covers what to sign, in which format and in what order.

A U.S. address and Form 1583

U.S. clients often want a business address on contracts and invoices. A registered agent address is generally for official notices, so many founders open a virtual mailbox, and Form 1583 must be notarized for each person who will receive mail there.

Rejections usually come from simple things: a name transliterated differently on the passport and the form, a missing company suffix, or an address format the provider rejects. Our guide on USPS Form 1583 notarized online explains each field, and the Form 1583 and virtual mailbox service handles the notarization in a short online session.

Client onboarding: what U.S. procurement teams ask for

Larger U.S. clients run vendor onboarding first. They may ask for:

  • a signed master services agreement and a confidentiality agreement;
  • a vendor registration form with the company's legal name and address;
  • a tax form chosen with your accountant;
  • a certificate of good standing or a copy of the formation document;
  • occasionally, a sworn statement or affidavit signed before a notary.

Most are signed electronically. If a client wants a notarized signature, remote online notarization is often accepted; confirm with their procurement contact first.

Keep a pack ready: signed operating agreement, ownership statement, formation document and a recent good standing record, as clean scans with matching names.

Signing from Pakistan: practical tips

  • Plan around the time difference. Pakistan is several hours ahead of the U.S. East Coast, so an evening session in Lahore often meets a working morning in New Jersey.
  • Check your identification first. Make sure your passport is valid and its spelling matches every company document.
  • Use a stable connection. Sessions include identity verification and live video signing.
  • Ask about originals. When a recipient wants paper, options include a U.S. consulate, a local notary, or a wet-ink original shipped by DHL Express, FedEx or USPS. Our guide on notarizing a U.S. document from abroad compares them.

Verification is about the transaction, not the country

Founders from Pakistan sometimes worry that nationality will slow things down. TR Signing Group reviews each transaction on its own terms: who is signing, what the document is, and where it is going.

How TR Signing Group handles it

FAQ

Questions we hear often

Can I form and run a U.S. LLC while living in Pakistan?

Non-residents can generally form a U.S. LLC and handle most paperwork from abroad. Whether it suits you, including taxes in both countries, is a question for your accountant or attorney.

Do I need to travel to the United States to sign company documents?

Usually not. Many documents can be notarized through remote online notarization, and wet-ink originals can be arranged when paper is required.

Why does my virtual mailbox provider need Form 1583?

Providers require a notarized Form 1583 before receiving mail for a person or company. Each person who will receive mail is usually covered.

Will my U.S. client accept a remotely notarized document?

Many do, but not all. Ask the client's procurement or legal contact which format they accept before scheduling.

Does TRSG help with taxes or bank account approval?

No. TR Signing Group executes and delivers documents. Tax questions go to your accountant, and account decisions are made by the bank.

Notary and document-execution services only. TR Signing Group does not provide legal, tax or immigration advice and is not affiliated with USCIS or any government agency.
