Your proof of address, notarized and accepted.
Banks, mailbox providers, embassies and foreign registries often want a proof of address that is notarized. A utility bill usually works: electricity, gas, water, cable, internet or phone. In fact, any letter that shows your name and address in the mailing window can do. Send it to us, we tell you if it fits and notarize it the right way.

Questions we hear often
Can a notary certify a copy of my utility bill?
The usual way is a copy certification by the document holder: you sign a statement that the copy is true and complete, and we notarize your signature. Most banks and providers accept it. If they gave you specific wording, send it to us.
Which bill should I use?
A recent one that shows your full name and the same address as your application. Many institutions want it less than three months old. Electricity, gas, water, cable, internet or phone usually all work.
The bill is not in my name. What now?
Tell us before the session. A proof-of-residence affidavit signed by the account holder, or another letter in your name, often solves it.
Can I do it from abroad?
Yes, online, as long as the institution accepts a remote notarization. Check with them first or send us their instructions.
